PC Keeps Hanging? Complete Windows Freeze Fix Guide (Part 2)
Is your PC hanging or freezing randomly? Follow this step-by-step Windows fix checklist — CPU hog processes, disk errors, driver issues, RAM testing and more.

PC randomly hang ho jata hai? Screen freeze, mouse jam? Ye systematic checklist follow karo — har common cause cover ho jayega.
Quick Fixes First
- Restart — obvious but clears stuck processes
- Startup apps disable karo (Task Manager → Startup)
- Task Manager check karo — koi process 100% CPU le toh raha?
Fix 1 — Find the Culprit
Ctrl + Shift + Esc → Task Manager → sort by CPU/Memory. One process hogging? End it, then check:
- Browser with 50 tabs = classic hang
- Windows Update running in background
- Antivirus full scan
Fix 2 — Disk Check
chkdsk C: /f /r
HDD errors = frequent freezes. (Reboot needed.)
Fix 3 — Corrupt System Files
sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Fix 4 — RAM Test
Run mdsched.exe (Windows Memory Diagnostic) — faulty RAM = random hangs. Test both sticks separately if possible.
Fix 5 — Drivers + Overheating
- Update GPU, chipset drivers
- Check temps — overheating throttles/freezes
