PC slow hai — upgrade karu ya naya lu? Ek 10-second test decide kar deta hai.

The 10-Second Test

Ctrl + Shift + Esc → Task Manager → Performance tab → dekho:

ComponentWhat You SeeVerdict
CPUIntel Core i3/i5 6th gen+Upgrade kar sakte ho
CPU4th gen or olderNew PC time
RAM4GB+8GB add = big improvement
StorageHDD onlySSD = life-changing
StorageAlready SSDCPU limit — think new

Worth Upgrading

  • HDD → SSD (₹2-3k) = biggest speed jump possible
  • 4GB → 16GB RAM (₹1.5-3k) = multitasking smooth
  • GPU add — for gaming if CPU is decent
  • Cleaning + thermal paste — free performance

Buy New Instead

  • CPU 4th gen or older (motherboard/RAM old too — replace all = new PC anyway)
  • DDR3 RAM system
  • Needs modern software (Win 11 unsupported CPU)
  • Repair cost > 50% of new PC

Cost Rule of Thumb

Upgrade budget > ₹15k? New entry PC ~₹25-35k might be smarter.

Hindi Tips

  • HDD wala PC hai toh SSD pehle — ₹2,500 mein naya jaisa feel
  • Upgrade ke baad bhi slow = CPU limit hai, new PC
  • Old PC bechne se pehle data wipe zaroor
