Unknown App Installed on Your PC? Check & Remove Suspicious Programs
Found an app you don't remember installing? It could be malware or bloatware. How to check unknown programs on Windows — verify, scan, remove safely.

Installed apps list mein koi naam dikh gaya jo tumne kabhi install nahi kiya? Panic mat karo — pehle verify karo, phir remove.
Step 1 — Find All Installed Apps
Settings → Apps → Installed apps — ya Win + R → appwiz.cpl (classic view).
Sort by Install Date — naye apps top pe dikhenge.
Step 2 — Is It Suspicious? Checklist
- Google the exact name — legit apps have official sites
- Right-click → Open file location — weird folder path = red flag
- Publisher column check — "Unknown publisher" = suspicious
- Task Manager — koi process CPU/RAM kha raha?
Common Imposters
- Fake "security" apps: *PC SpeedUp Pro, Driver Booster* clones
- Bundled junk: free software ke saath aayi cheezein
- Actual malware: random names like "system_helper.exe"
Step 3 — Remove Safely
Settings → Apps→ UninstallWin + R→temp+%temp%— leftover files delete- Full Windows Defender scan —
Settings → Privacy & Security → Windows Security → Full scan - Stubborn ho toh Safe Mode mein uninstall

- Sirf official websites se download karo
- Installer mein har checkbox padho — "recommended extras" untick karo
- Pirated software = malware guarantee

- Naam google karo — 10 second mein pata chal jaata hai legit hai ya nahi
- Free software install karte waqt "Custom Install" chuno, "Express" nahi
- Startup apps bhi check karo — Task Manager → Startup tab
